I am a newbie in regards to Motorcycle clubs, private riding area and these sorts of things. Just been lucky on the North Island with lots of room and even less people. I am anxious to race offroad and have some questions that may seem pretty simple but nonetheless I am confused? CMA vs CMRC vs PNWMA. 3 different bodies, all with overlapping identities. Why does CMRC charge 3x as much for a membership? Which group is best suited to represent the Islands offroad riders and island races and maybe an island series? To put on a race, why do you even need a body like these involved? Marketing? Insurance? Rider Turnout? How long should a hare scramble loop be? How many hours do you get to put in your laps? How many riders to a team typically?

Question: Which group is best suited to represent the Islands off road riders and island races and maybe an island series? Answer: The best? Who knows , but the more the merrier in my opinion..
Question:To put on a race, why do you even need a body like these involved? Answer: Insurance mostly , but if you're talking about series well , someone has to keep track of points =].
Question: How long should a hare scramble loop be? Answer: Typically around 11kms. I'm told.
Question: How many hours do you get to put in your laps? Answer: A loop riders usually do 3 hours , B loop riders 2.
Question: How many riders to a team typically? Answer: I was told today that in this event there is 2 rider teams with a transferable armband. Usually it's an individual event but that's up to the organizers.
