I took part in my first ever enduro event in March and really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to confirmation on the June events. Keep up the great work.

Well, sorry folks, this event has to be postponed as there is just not the volunteer capacity to run it at this time.

That is too bad. I was involved in helping set up the March Hare with Andy James. The set up and pre race riding was as much fun as racing an event. Is there any word on whether the Grey beard will run?

The greybeard is going to run. Poster is up now. I think with a lot of these events, the same folks have been running them for a long time and in some cases, they get burned out and really need someone to step up and learn the ropes for taking over a good part of the underlying work to get the event launched.

For those that are new to this sport, would it be possible to get an explanation/description of the Greybeard and what we might expect to ride during the 30km? Is it all fireroad, any single track, etc?

The last one I went in was a mix of logging road, skid trail, single track etc. I haven't ridden where this years version will be located but it's not likely to be drastically different.

The Greybeard/Wellburn is a two level event with the Greybeard being the more difficult and the Wellburn being a subset of the same trails, eliminating some of the harder sections. Any self respecting enduro rider would likely be OK with the Greybeard and if you want a shorter easier ride, go with the Wellburn.

You may want to contact the event organizer to get additional specific information if this doesn't cover it.
