Tansky trail-building workshop Oct/18th - 2009/10/01 17:39
We are having a trail-building workshop for all those that want to build at Tansky. This includes members and non-members, motorcyclists and quaders. Our preference is that anyone who intends on trail-building out at Tansky to attend the workshop.
Dianne, our trail crew boss, will be leading it out on-site. We will be covering where we can build, techniques and tools for sustainable and legal trails, and building an actual trail with modern trail-building techniques of water management, outslope, amouring, destumping, contouring, signing, etc.
The date will be October 18th, weather permitting. Meet at the Castle in Sooke at 9 am for breakfast and an introduction with Dianne. Then it will be out to Tansky to build a new trail between the #3 & #4 and possibly some extreme trails if enough people show up to trail build.
