GETTING ACCESS
VMC CYCLE PARK | 4200 Happy Valley Rd. Victoria (Metchosin)
VMC Cycle Park is private property owned and operated by and for current Club Members; to meet, associate, host motorcycle related events, and use the off-road motorcycle riding areas.
Access to the VMC Cycle Park is through a keyed/fob controlled access gate.
To get to the gate turn off at 4200 Happy Valley Road into a narrow private lane (on the right-hand side if driving South) just past Glen Forest Way and around a bend.
Use extreme caution when you turn in and while crossing the Galloping Goose Regional Trail. This trail is used by both cyclists and pedestrians, those users have the right of way. The VMC Cycle Park gate is to your left.
The gate will be unlocked allowing Public access on Event Days only; otherwise entry is for Members Only, and a Member gate key/fob is required for entry.
Keys/fobs are issued only to current, properly qualified Members upon payment of the gate key deposit fee.
Current Members who have paid for an access key/fob have access to the property during normal daylight hours.
Hours typically run from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM but are adjusted based on daylight hours. Always respect our neighbours.
Riding is restricted to between one hour after dawn and one hour before sunset and never before 8:00 AM or after 8:00 PM.
Access to the club property and riding activities will be restricted, when necessary, due to other conditions such as a fire risk, campfire ban etc.
MEMBERS ARE ALLOWED TO BRING A GUEST TO EXPERIENCE THE VMC CYCLE PARK
Current Members have the privilege of bringing a Guest to the VMC Cycle Park to ride and experience the property.
All invited Guests must sign a Waiver every time when entering and riding on the property.
This Waiver is available here and is also accessible by using a mobile device by scanning the QR code which is located on the Cycle Park gate, and posted at the Cycle Park Memorial Pavilion.
All guests must also read, understand, observe and follow all VMC Cycle Park rules which are posted on the VMC website, on the main gate, and on the Memorial Pavilion. Loud bikes are not allowed.
Guests who have attended the property, and wish to continue to ride there, can make a formal application for VMC Membership through the club’s website.
Once that application has been reviewed, and that applicant is Accepted to be on the Waiting List for final approval, they are welcome to ride at Cycle Park when accompanied by either the Club Member Sponsor named on their application, or if invited and in the presence of another current VMC Member.
PUBLIC ACCESS TO VMC CYCLE PARK DURING EVENTS
15+ times a year the Victoria Motorcycle Club hosts events such as Trials, Enduro, Hill Climb, Dual Sport along with participating in public parades and road riding activities.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend to spectate at our events at VMC Cycle Park.
On the days of these events the main VMC Cycle Park gate will be open between approximately 9 AM and 4 PM to allow free access to the parking lot, and the public is invited to hike to areas of the property in which a particular event is being hosted. Some activities may be more remote and rugged than others.
These events are listed in the VMC Website Calendar on the site’s main page.
During these events the public should park in the lower parking lot to the left of the main gate and around the parking area surrounding the Memorial Pavilion.
During these open events the public is not allowed to bring off-road motorcycles to the Cycle Park property, nor use them.
Street legal motorcycles are welcomed in the parking area.
Again we encourage the public to come out and see what the sport of motorcycling and VMC is about.
THE VMC CYCLE PARK IS A JEWEL OF A RIDING PROPERTY. IT IS EVERY MEMBER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO PROTECT AND NURTURE THESE GROUNDS.
Always keep in mind we have neighbouring properties.
Use common sense. Be courteous and respectful to all around you.
