VMC Cycle Park Annual Maintenance Work Party – Saturday May 10th

Description: The VMC Annual Work Party is intended to be a constructive and community building event that allows members to contribute to Cycle park, while collecting their volunteer hours and bonding and socializing with old and new members alike.

The event will consist of a lunch and beverages provided by the club, while carrying out general maintenance tasks, as well as new projects around the park.

Although this event is called a “work party”, it is intended to bring the club together. If you are physically unable to work, please still come out and socialize and join us for lunch. Please RSVP if you can, to help get numbers for lunch and job duties!

Scheduled Date: May 10th

Start time: 9am

Lunch time: 12pm (volumes will be based on 9am attendance)

Finish time: 3pm

Note: Members are welcome to stay for an unorganized dinner after work hours, as well as a campfire.

What Can I Bring:

• Appropriate work clothes

• Broom puller

• Rake

• Shovel

• Lunch dish

• Cutting equipment

• Hand tools etc will also be provided by club (limited available)

Duties and Jobs:

Parking lot

• BBQ and Lunch organizing

• Filling potholes in parking and hillclimb area

• Pulling broom

• Weed wacking

• Cutting firewood

• Organizing shipping containers

• Painting of shipping containers

• Trimming fence line at front yard and side yards

• Filling in ruts

• Cleaning of pavilion and electrical building ie. gutters

• Cleaning of wash station

• Etc

Up The Hill

• General trail cleaning and clearing

• Disposal of old ribbon and arrows

• Filling in ruts

• Cutting and burning of fallen wood and debris

• Enduro track maintenance

• Pulling broom

• New line construction and clearing

• Etc

This event is a great way to meet new members and gain your volunteer hours! Looking forward to seeing you all there!
