The VMC is a volunteer organization. As such, all events are done for the members and public, by the members. Volunteering to help on one of the events is the best way to get to know people and to help make a good name for yourself, along with making the event a success. Check the Events section to find upcoming events and then contact the organizer listed on the poster, to offer to help out. Aside from being one of the entrance requirements, volunteering some time is educational, often good fitness, and a fun way to become more a part of this club that we all enjoy. WHERE ARE EVENTS HELD Events are held in several locations. Please see the event notice/poster to see which venue is being used. Some of the common venues are: VMC club property location map Tansky location Street rides are held in several locations. Please see the event poster for your event. |

Items currently affecting our sport Please note that there is now full time logging at Boyd's Pit 7 days a week, therefore riding is strongly discouraged. There were some near misses at Boyd's Pit recently and the VMC is being blamed. Please talk to your friends and ask them not to ride there as it is private property and riding is only by permit during events. The VMC is working toward obtaining a riding permit for this area but until this time, please

A basic road/trail map of the VMC property is available in the FAQ's under the topic VMC Trail Map . Since its beginning, the Victoria Motorcycle Club has promoted the sport of motorcycling of all types and for all ages. As a club, we believe that riding is one of the few things left that is family oriented, healthy, enjoyable, and isn't prohibitively expensive. As a mode of transportation, motorcycling has several advantages over automobiles such as fuel efficiency resulting in a lower carbon footprint and the simple fact that a motorcycle is easier to park than a car. For many years, the VMC has been a steward of the motorcycle club property. Preservation of green space on Vancouver Island is becoming a tough challenge as urban sprawl encroaches on natural areas. The VMC has maintained the 175 acre plot in virtually the same natural state as it was purchased with minimal trail clearing, in fact much less than is required to create a park or campsite. At present, the VMC is actively working to develop more riding areas and needs your support to make this happen. |
